About the Women's Archives

The Women's Archives at Oklahoma State University serves as a central information resource documenting the lives and contributions of women associated with Oklahoma. Its mission is to preserve and provide access to materials that reflect women's roles in family and community life, science and culture, and business and government.

The OSU Library welcomes use of the Women's Archives by scholars, students, historians, journalists, and researchers from a wide range of disciplines. Organizations throughout the state also draw on these collections for programs and exhibits that celebrate women's achievements.

Researchers are encouraged to contact OSU Special Collections & University Archives before beginning a research project.

Women's Archives Endowment

The Women's Archives Endowment was established in September 1997 through the generosity of an anonymous donor. The endowment supports the acquisition, processing, preservation, and promotion of materials documenting the history of women in Oklahoma.

Gifts to the Women's Archives are tax deductible and may be made through the Oklahoma State University Foundation website.

Donate Materials

The Women's Archives welcomes donations that document women's interests, activities, and intellectual pursuits. Materials from all time periods are considered, including early Oklahoma history and the contemporary period.

Donated materials may include letters and correspondence, photographs, diaries, scrapbooks, audio or video recordings, interviews, manuscripts, research notes, and professional or organizational records.
